Star Women and The Cycle

A feminist, queer, lgbtqia+, and badass story about the beauty of being a queer woman. Womanhood is not defined by one thing. Womanhood is a spectrum. It’s beautiful, it’s messy, and most of all it deserves to be heard. My series of star women represent the nuances of womanhood. The star-shaped head allows almost anyone to imput themselves in the image. The nudity is a direct response to the censorship on our bodies. My latest print series, “The Cycle,” is about how often we are told to just “deal with it” or “you are overreacting”. How often we are forced to wield the sword that hurt us.
